Golden Retrievers by David P.

Did you know golden retrievers are one of the smartest if not the smartest service dogs in the world?  To start with, one reason this is true is because they are strong dog breeds who have great physical support. Another reason these animals are great is they are easy to train because of how obedient they are. This shows they are nice dogs that will take orders their trainer gives them. These animals are probably the sweetest dogs seen.

Firstly, golden retrievers are amazing service animals. They are very calm around people, they are alert but don’t react to much, they will follow you around a lot, they are very good at socializing in different environments, and they are able to be touched. These all build up to a nice friendly service dog. In “Training Golden Retrievers to Be Excellent Service Dog Breeds” the golden retriever’s ability to adapt to different situations is high. It makes it a very ideal breed of dogs. And what makes it a fantastic service animal is it has feelings for people who are hurting. In “Golden Retrievers As Service Dogs (Training, Facts & Myths),” “The traits that make a good service dog can vary depending on what tasks they perform.” “For instance, if they’re trained to help someone physically, then they need to be big and strong enough to perform these tasks.” These two sentences show how a dog needs to be trained for physical tasks.

These animals in my eyes are very trustworthy service animals. They can be costly, but you can get around that. It costs about $30,000 to get a trained service dog golden retriever. But instead, the cheaper way of getting a trained service dog is to train the dog alone or work with a professional. In “Golden Retrievers as Service Dogs,” “It is important for a service dog to have a certain set of characteristics that make them good candidates for learning skills and supporting their owner.” This shows how perfect it will be to train a golden retriever to be a service dog. With these set of attributes, it shows how they are incredible. And even though you are training your retriever, it needs breaks.

Next, some people have problems getting around. In “Golden Retrievers as Service Dogs,” as their name indicates, “golden retrievers love to retrieve.” The fact these retrievers are quickly able to understand commands shows golden retrievers are good for mobility assistance. The last reason that I have about the golden retriever being a great service animal is the golden retriever is not easily distracted by obstacles. So they love to retrieve and they are focused on their handlers.

Finally, golden retrievers are good all around. Their perfect behavior, their great physicality, and smartness shows how good this breed is as service animals. Golden retrievers are in love with bringing items back, which is good for bringing items you need back to you. And The animal isn’t easily distracted away from missions. All these things combine up to how a golden retriever is a beneficial service animal.
